This commercial building is situated opposite to the intersection between M40 and A6 main highways, and has a small park at its foot. The building has views over the city of Madrid to the south and over the mountains to the north. The main idea is to create a stimulating work atmosphere by doing away with the typical modularity and material of the office building to create instead an interior landscape that responds to the different scales of the exterior landscape: that of the roads, whose kinetic layout it replicates and accompanies; that of the distant views, towards which it orientates its volumes; that of the public park and its own garden, with which it interacts through the shadows of the trees and the reflections on the water. Indeed, the building manages to impose itself through geometry, scale and proportion while reducing to the maximum the building components used. The acoustic and atmospheric pollution of the location determine the airtight triple-glazed outer wall with nocturnal air renewal by mechanical means; this solution also permits the use of huge panes of glass (due to their high insulation value), thus allowing a panoramic relationship with the natural and artificial surroundings of Madrid.
