Leisure centre

The leisure centre in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara) aspires to be a contemporary variation on the traditional social club, its functions rooms grouped rather casually under the auspices of leisure, reading, games, conversation and dancing. A south-facing pavilion that serves as a backdrop, and a vertical volume housing the Centre’s offices, storage and other spaces making and creating a visual focus of the urban set qith the plastic intervention of Tum Berresheim.
The spaces and alternating courtyards well known in the constructive tradition of the meseta of Castile, updated by the landscaped roofs and the constructive systems used.
