High Speed Train Station

Located in a complex node, the project for a new High Speed Train Station brings together a new building for the proper station, a platform canopy and a upper conection with Tabakalera building, sited just on the other side of the train tracks. The architectural system proposed looks after a ‘txalaparta’, a traditional basque music instrument made of some wooden planks upon table legs. This urban ‘txalaparta’ is related to its surrounding due to the rounded geometry of the enourmous planks that allow natural light to come through them to the platforms below.
