Generation Convergence Center and Startup Incubator

The Project is based in the interaction between an exoskeleton and an internal core, both made in concrete. The façade conception as a perforated tube, creates unobstructed gardened observation spaces, in the corners of all levels. The tubes’ mechanical perforations leave a tectonic imprint in the volume. This deformation of the ideal matrix, has at the same time a thermodynamic repercussion. It establishes the balance between void and mass, by regulating the characteristics of concrete for different orientations, depending on natural lighting and radiation in each façade.

 

The horizontal structure is solved with a lightened & post-stressed concrete slab, optimizing resistance and material usage. Its mass is regulated by solar radiation and photovoltaic energy through a water circuit, to become a daily and seasonal thermal stabilizer for the complex.

 

The urban design proposed is a three dimensional expansion of the principles of the Generation Convergence Center that diversifies and connects the public strata  from the street to a green path  14 meters above it. This path crisscrosses the whole area and the Generation Convergence Center empowering a collaborative community for the surroundings.
