AS+ completa la “Villa con dos Patios” en Casares, Málaga

With a privileged location on the slopes of Casares (Málaga, Spain), the Villa with two Patios adapts to the gentle topography of Finca Cortesín that descends framing the views of the Mediterranean Sea. The construction of the villa expands horizontally the space of the house in a large perimeter garden terrace that pursues simultaneously the solar optimization of the house, a correct cross ventilation and the best views of the sea and the coast of Africa.

The ensemble formed by the two patios, the lateral gardens and the terrace on the Mediterranean seeks to create differenciated spaces, contained with the diversity of the landscape of the hill

typological layout

In this way, the Villa refers to a typological layout widely spread in the Mediterranean: Two Patios (front and rear) connected by a large central room. The lower level of the house is composed of three strips: the middle and main occupied by the large living room and the others by access, kitchen, dining room and garage on the Eastside, and bedrooms on the Westside.

front patio

The front Patio, designed both as a extension of the interior outdoors and a introduction of nature inside, invites to enjoy life in the pleasant local weather just by casting shadows and allowing cross ventilation.

materiality
The terraces and semi-covered spaces unify the whole by the carefully designed gardening and the systematic use of a small range of materials under the prominence of the clear geometry of white reinforced concrete, which gives the whole identity and integrates a series of auxiliary buildings, such as the pool or a gazebo , which allow the celebration of outdoor life. In contrast to the white color of the concrete, the perimeter of the site is made of local stone masonry.

upper floor
The upper floor, which enjoys a certain degree of programmatic autonomy, hosts two independent and complementary bedrooms, which open onto the landscape that extends above the lower level.
