Longfeng Mall, Shanghai.

The project´s program and form are conditioned by the new underground metro station and by the important historical context in which it is placed, in a corner of the beautiful and popular street Huahai IN the French Concesion marked by the presence of one of the most emblematic Hudec´s buildings that gave its identity to the early 20th century Shanghai.
The project develops a mid scale Mall that stands out for a new environmental mode that we have named “thermodynamic garden”. This new mode aims to extend to the building the street confort provided by the trees alignments organizing passive conditioned spaces by the combination of natural and artificial elements with a technically innovative character in correspondence with their new formal and plastic identity.
In the outside, the building solves the tension between Hudec´s scale and composition and the various materials that are in correspondence with the program and environmental character previously described.
